2010 is going to be an exciting year for Intense Cycles, as well as all the riders who are fans of the Californian bikes. With two exciting new models in the line up there is plenty to drool over. The much anticipated new Intense hardtail has finally dropped and I doubt anyone could not love what they did with it. Being a hardtail, there is obviously no VPP trickery going on out back, but the Tazer manages to have those Intense lines that the company is known for. The second new rig was being e-speculated long before anyone outside of Intense had ever seen the bike. The Slopestyle is new from the ground up and looks amazing. All the park rats out there better start saving their allowance!
2010 Intense Slopestyle
• Completely new Slopestyle frame for '10
• Adjustable travel, 6"- 6.5"
• 135 mm dropouts
• 1.5" headtube
• 73 mm BB shell
Chainstay yoke and lower VPP pivot detail

2010 Intense Tazer HT

• Singlespeed compatible dropouts
Visit Intensecycles.com for more info on the beautiful bikes you see here!
Twenty6 products needs to be careful otherwise soon they'll be making parts far too pretty to get dirty. Well known for producing some of the most stunning bits and then finishing them off with insane colors, Twenty6 looks to have a new pedal ready to go soon. As if the Rallye pedal wasn't trick enough already, this new model takes it a step further. Their booth was packed too full of people drooling over the goods for me to get any information, so instead I'll just let you look at these beauties and try to figure out some sort of savings plan so you'll have the money ready when they hit the shelves.
Head over to Twenty6.com to see more lovely bike bits!
DT Swiss EXC 150 carbon enduro fork
If you could ever call a fork sexy, the DT Swiss EXC Enduro carbon fork would have to be the one. Carbon is used for both the lowers and hollow crown while magnesium is used for the dropouts and post brake mount, the EXC 150 weighs in at 1695g! Intended for trail and enduro riding, the EXC fork is available in both 130 mm and 150 mm travel options. This one is on my short list!

DT Swiss carbon enduro wheelset
DT Swiss EXC 1550 Enduro carbon wheelset

• Handmade rim
• 29 mm wide outer width
• Works great with 2.35" - 2.5" AM tires
• Double butted and bladed spokes in white

DT Swiss Tricon XM 1550 wheelset
DT Swiss mixes things up for 2010 by introducing a completely new prebuilt wheelset called the XM 1550 Tricon. The new wheels use a brand new SBWT welded rim that uses a new proprietary tubeless spoke system. The bladed spokes are actually inserted through the top of the rim and held in place with an aluminum anchor. Once tensioned it is impossible for the anchor to come out. The hubs are made with the same great DT quality, the rear using DT's super simple Star Ratchet system.
2010 DT Swiss Tricon tubeless rim. No rimstrips needed!
• 9 mm and 15 mm front hub options
• 10 x 135 mm and 12 mm x 142 mm rear hub options
• Straight pull double butted and bladed spokes
• DT Pro Lock Torx nipples
• Rear hub uses same DT Star Ratchet drive system

every thing looks sick mite have to get an intense as my next bike
I live in bozeman where those pedals are made. Don't quote me on this but I'm pretty sure the new pedal is a full 100g less per set than the ralleye's. Yikes!
Those pedals are going to hurt like hell. Go ahead and call me a pussy but i am worried about having to pull them out of my shin.

Shit! Come on! You can't say that if you could afford thier stuff that you wouldn't buy it! Shut up.
Yes, I saw the old Tazer HTs, but they haven't been producing hardtails recently, right? I mean the hardtails Intense makes are probably meant for the pros?
Theyve been producing hardtails since they last released the old model...They were still available to the public..at some stupid cost like £700 IIRC
Well I didn't know that, because when you check the Intense website there's no mention of them, all you see are the VPP bikes.
Yea i know...but they still had the old designed tazer in production...
Not having a go at you or anything mate, just saying
. And kakah, what sort of useless comment was that? No shit its a "new" hardtail ! When did you become a detective? :eyeroll:
love those DT swiss hub and tubeless rim. This is a great idead they got there. That also means that you don't have to remove the tire anymore when you have a busted spoke, and can just replace right on the spot
Those pedals are just a little sexy. I guess the new Slopestyle is okay too. I'm not allowing myself to look at Intense as they are wildly expensive and hard to get in Canada.
That slopestyle is crazy sleek,
what forks up front?
new fox for 2010 or what?
It's a single crown, yet llookss longer than a 36,
a 38 maybe?

They are bonded and then set with a very precise chamfered set. Rode them on the Pivot and they are super stiff!!!!
those pedals are dayumm sexy.. but the spikes are terrifying.. i feel my shins and calves bleeding already :p
those pins from the pedal are too thin! that will make a hole on my leg if i loose the pedal, and destroy the shoes.
[Reply]
the spikes on those padals would be deadly on the shoes and the shins... OUCH but sick ass pedals tho
so the Dt-Swiss EXC 150 weighs a tenth of a pound less than a float 32, and costs almost half of what the dt-swiss does? why would you spend that extra cash on the dt?
Weight isn't everything on a fork, but every little bit counts. However, I think the newest Fox forks actually weigh LESS than that DT ... seems wrong.

the general response to the pedals seems to be , look great! but will fecking hurt in an crash! whats better: looks or performane!? yep you got it! buy some 50:50's or v1's!

Too bad twenty six didn't think about foot geometry when designing those pedals...the cage is too close to where the spindle threads in. This will ensue some bruised ankles and worn crank arms. Hype can only take you so far.
pedals look super sick until its in your leg then gets covered in blood but then you wash them of and then they look sick again
